Introduction to Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp

The Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium is the oldest art school in Europe and was founded by David Teniers in 1663. For 350 years, the school has been focusing on the cultivation of pure arts such as painting and sculpture. In the 1960s, the school expanded its new department and set up new majors in applied arts such as photography, graphic design, jewelry design and clothing design. Ms. Mary Periot started to create and guide the development of fashion design specialty in 1963. The designers are required to reflect the charm and essence of Chanel along the fashion style and rigorous cutting technology of Paris. Mary insisted that her students must have a complete grasp of manual skills, and they must be able to draw skillfully, communicate their ideas directly, understand the manufacture of clothing, and publicize and promote it in a conspicuous way.The four-year course is very demanding, starting with 30 students in the first grade and only about six students in the fourth grade can pass the graduation. In 1983, Linda Lopa became the head of the department, making great efforts to publicize and promote the college and alumni, attracting a large number of important critics and designers to attend the annual summer clothing graduation exhibition. The clothing design graduates of all previous colleges have gained a reputation on the international stage, including: Veronique Branquinho, A.F. Vandevorst, Stephan Schneider, Bernhard Willhelm, ChrisOan Wijnants, Bruno Pieters, Tim Van Steenbergen, Peter PiloSo, Haider Ackermann and Kris Van Assche. Water Van Beirendonck, one of The Antwerp Six, became head of the department of fashion design, continuing to attract students from all over the world and sending a strong message to the world through the group of the department of fashion design of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts.

Introduction to Royal Conservatoire Antwerp

Royal Conservatoire Antwerp, with its unique position in the professional field, participates in the stage of music roles in the 21st century and makes positive contributions. The faculty of the college is strong, for example, Justus Grimm, Malibran’s quartet cellist, is also a member of the Music and Art Committee of Royal Conservatoire Antwerp.

General courses are divided into two cycles: a bachelor’s degree with three academic years, which is widely supported by students; the master’s program consists of two academic years and requires more autonomy, aiming at cultivating students’ artistic personality.

Royal Conservatoire Antwerp has about 600 students, a quarter of whom come from abroad. It offers dance, drama and music courses, as well as teacher training courses and various courses for further study. This combination of teaching and education enables it to provide various innovative artistic forms and cooperate with many professional partners.

The dance department consists of three different majors, focusing on the ability of learning projects. You will meet choreographers and artists of different styles (contemporary dance). These experiences will encourage you to become a dancer with your own real personality.

Recommend cooperation project-School of Health and Health Care

The school occupies an important position in the clinical and applied fields of Belgium’s medical education. It cooperates with ZNA, a well-known medical institution ranked in the top 10 in Europe and ranked first in Belgium, and trains many professionals for it all the year round. It is the backbone of Belgium’s medical clinical and the application field of education. ZNA has 3 general hospitals and 6 specialized hospitals. Among them, Queen Paula Children’s Hospital has strong advantages in obstetrics and children’s suspected difficult diseases, while other hospitals have great advantages in cardiovascular diseases, cardiac surgery, tumor and various kinds of nursing care.It is suggested that a three-party cooperation platform be formed with the School of Health and Health Care and ZNA, and multi-party trained professionals combined with education and clinical practice be selected.

Recommend cooperation project-School of Management

AP’s School of Management, 20 meters from Mel Street, 50 meters from Rubens Museum, 300 meters from Central Railway Station, and 500 meters from Central Cathedral and City Hall, is located in a prime location surrounded by many scenic spots, historic sites, brand shops, and specialty restaurants. It has many English courses and has become a very international school. The economic operation of an excellent city cannot be separated from a steady stream of high-level personnel training and support platforms. Diamonds, history, culture and art, international ports, fashion and creativity… The school carefully organizes programs for students, and students enrich them with your own lifestyle.

As during the first year of many majors in the school, students are encouraged to attend overseas semesters or become exchange students, and many English programs are already very internationalized, there are many programs that the school of management can cooperate with. Among the many optional projects, we would like to recommend the major of international business incubation and entrepreneurship.
